John serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Trust Officer at First National Bank and Trust Company of Ardmore, where he brings a thoughtful, steady approach to guiding clients through complex trust and fiduciary matters. With a strong foundation in both law and finance, John is known for helping individuals and families protect what matters most and plan confidently for the future.

Before joining the bank in 2010, John practiced law with Thompson, Cawley, Veazey and Burns, P.C. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma. Deeply invested in his community, John serves as Treasurer of the Carter County Bar Association and as Chairman of the Carter County Bar Association Scholarship Committee.

When he’s not at the bank or volunteering in the community, John can usually be found outdoors with a fishing pole or on the golf course or on the sidelines, proudly coaching whichever sport his daughter has decided to take on next.
